⚠️ A Nikah alone may not be legally recognised in all countries. Many jurisdictions (e.g. England & Wales) require a separate civil marriage registration. Please verify the requirements in your country.
In England and Wales, a Nikah alone is generally not legally recognised as a civil marriage. A separate civil marriage ceremony at a registry office is usually required. Scotland has different rules. Always verify requirements with local civil authorities.
