Zakat is 2.5% of your total net zakatable wealth (assets minus immediate liabilities) that has been above the Nisab threshold for a full lunar year (Hawl).
According to the Hanafi madhab, Zakat is due on gold jewellery. Some other scholars exempt jewellery worn for personal use. Our calculator lets you include or exclude jewellery based on your madhab.
Zakat is generally due on the portion of your pension that you can currently access or withdraw. Pension funds locked until retirement age are debated — consult a scholar for your specific situation.
