Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using AmanahSuite (“the Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

AmanahSuite provides a digital platform for Muslims to create Islamic wills (wasiyyah), calculate Faraidh inheritance shares, and generate formatted PDF documents. The Service is provided as a software tool — it is not a legal service, Islamic legal advisory (fatwa) service, or solicitor service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.

4. Account responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
• You must provide accurate information, including your name and email address.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately at support@amanahsuite.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

5. Subscription and payment

AmanahSuite offers a free plan and paid plans. Paid plans are billed as described at the time of purchase.

• Free plan: access to the will builder; PDF download not included.
• Founding Member: one-time lifetime payment; includes all current features.
• Standard / Family plans: annual subscription; auto-renews unless cancelled.

All payments are processed by Stripe. Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase if you have not downloaded a completed PDF. Contact billing@amanahsuite.com.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
• Use the Service to generate wills for third parties on a commercial basis without our written permission
• Submit false or misleading information

7. Intellectual property

The AmanahSuite platform, design, and code are owned by AmanahSuite and protected by intellectual property law. Your will content remains yours. We claim no ownership over the content you create using the Service.

The Faraidh calculation engine implements established Islamic jurisprudence (Hanafi school) — the underlying legal principles are in the public domain.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AmanahSuite shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

• Errors in Faraidh calculations resulting from inaccurate information you provide
• A will that is not legally enforceable under civil law due to improper execution (signing/witnessing)
• Any dispute between heirs regarding the distribution of an estate

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that:

• The Faraidh calculations will be free from error in all circumstances (particularly complex or unusual family structures)
• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• PDF documents will be accepted as legally valid wills in any jurisdiction

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Security. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days per our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these Terms

We will notify you by email of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
